Description
We begin in Mollepata, above the Apurimac River, and
cross the mountains to Machu Picchu, above the Urubamba
River. We pass under the shadow of Salkantay, the Apu of
the range, which the Incas offered up all the fruits of
their labors.

Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco - Mollepata - Markokasa
At 9:00 AM we drive to Mollepata to begin the
journey. By car, we pass the towns of the Anta Plains (Izcuchaca,
Zurite, Ancahuasi) and then enter the Limatambo valley,
where we can appreciate the ruins of Tarawasi. In
Mollepata we begin the hike, and later we will camp in
Markokasa.
Day 02: Markokasa - Choquekiclla - Soraypampa
From Choquekiclla we can see Salkantay Humantay, at
whose feet we camp at the height of about 4000 masl.
Day 03: Soraypampa - Pampa Japonesa - Inkachiriaska
Today we pass under the Salkantay Snowcap, then
descend to the Inca Chanel from where we can see lovely
geography below us, campsite.
Day 04: Inkachiriaska - Sisaypampa Inkaracay
We begin the hike towards Paucarcancha, down the
Cusichaca valley to Llulluchapampa, also known as
Inkaracay. campsite.
Day 05: Inkaracay Huayllabamba - Pakaymayu
We begin the ascent to the high pass on the Inca
trail, called Warmiwauska at 4,200 masl, and then drop
into Pakaymayu and camp in Sayacmarka.
Day 06: Pakaymayu Sayacmarca - Phuyupatamarca
We drop into the high jungle and see some lovely new
trees and animals, along with the stunning series of
palaces that make up the Inca Trail, campsite.
Day 07: Phuyupatamarca Wiρawayna - Machupichu
We reach Machu Picchu, one of the world's greatest
archaeological treasures, in the afternoon well take
the train back to Cusco.
